Trying to Breathe

Still working like a mad woman. Did have a FANTASTIC dinner with the hubby on Saturday night. We went to St Elmos split a bottle of wine and had over 2 hours of great conversation! I guess we must have looked like we were having a great time because the table next to us commented on how fun we sounded. Off to collapse in bed. Want to watch Man vs. Food tonight because he is going to be showcasing Indy!

Wow

I have no excuses for not updating. I am super busy at work. I am the only one consistantly showing up and I am feeling extremely overwhelmed most days. Thank goodness for Devour Downtown an event Indy puts on twice a year. I have had a date night with my husband this week at Fogo De Chao. That was fantastic almost orgasmic! Than my husband was super duper fantastic and watched the boys while my mom, the princess and I went out for pedicures and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Saturday night courtesy of Devour Downtown we have reservations for St. Elmos. I am going to go out to a girls night out put together by a good friend. And hopefully a gift card I won from a twitter contest sponsered by the Devour Downtown staff, comes before this weekend than I will also somehow squeeze in a dinner at Barcelona Tapas.

The only downside to all of this is that I want to run a 5 mile race in September and I haven't ran in a month because of all the work I have had to due. Plus it has been unusually hot and humid for Indy. Ugh one more thing I have to fit in.

Really???

Kids are still sick. It has been so hot that I haven't been able to run. And I am seriously stretched to the maximum. I'm trying to stay in the positive each and everyday, but jeez things have got to let up soon. I guess things could be worse, even with the little bit of money that I make to support the family, we have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies and we are a happy family most of the time. Here are some pictures from our weekend in Ohio. We really are a good looking bunch when we clean ourselves up!

Bad me

Not trying to be neglectful. Things have been extemely hectic in our household. We got back from a 3 day convention in Ohio and all 3 kids picked up some sort of bug from their cousin. Work has been crazy and the last 2 days between lack of sleep and humidity I have not wanted to run. I have to set the alarm early for the husband to make his internship, maybe I will get up and run than. I promise little blog, that I will update you more tomorrow!

The Cast of Caracters

Ok so there is me, Jen and my husband John. We grew up in the same small suburban town in Indiana. We started dating a month before we graduated high school. Sometimes I wonder how we have survived 14 years and 3 children later but what can I say I love the Retard!

 This is my oldest. She as you can see is the Princess. It is not uncommon for her 6 year old self to wear a tiara out to the mall. This dear child was a week early and the smallest of all 3 at 6 lbs. She loves ballet and I see a future of door slamming in our future. For some reason since being done with kindergarten she has decided that she will skip all other elementary type sweet behavior and advance to middle school I hate you preteen behavior. Can't wait for Daddy-o to deal with that!

This would be my 2nd born. He is the Athlete. Not really sure but for a 3 year old he can whip your butt in Lego Star Wars. My dear boy was a week late and the largest of all 3 children. He was a whopping 9 lbs. His labor and delivery was 3 hours long and I pushed 3 times. He came as soon as my water broke and the Dr was not in the room when I gave birth. This child loves all things superhero, video games, Star Wars, and Legos. He also can turn most anything into a sharp shooting gun (his favorite is a chip clip holder.)

This would be my sweet baby boy. He is the Brain. Again for a 2 year old, we will see. But he will charm the socks off of you when he smiles. I see many calls in the future of the hijinxs this young man will get into. This dear boy was also a week early like his sister. He was I think of average weight 7 lbs. But this baby not to be outdone by his big brother was born in a half hour upon arrival at the hospital. My water broke while I tried to receive the epidural, not only was the Dr not in the room, but neither was his dear father since hospital policy wouldn't allow it while I received the epidural. My baby boy loves everything his brother does and Elmo.

I've decided I need a way to journal about the craziness that is my life. Unlike some really organized blogs that are just recipes, new life goals, or just about their children, this will truly be as random as my life is! So maybe one day it will be all about my children (I have .) Or maybe a great recipe that I have tried or is a family favorite. Maybe it will be about the new hobby I have taken up (running.) Or maybe it will simply be something completely new and profound. We will see. So begins Just another day in Jen's World!
